If your car was impounded before your policy with By Miles started, you won't be covered by us to have your car released. You will need to arrange alternative cover with another insurer, and you should check that their policy covers you on vehicles that have already been impounded.
If you already have a policy with us that started before your car was impounded, and it meets legal requirements for impounded vehicles, you may be able to use your By Miles insurance to collect your impounded car. You may need to present your Certificate of Insurance as proof. You'll find this in the 'My Policy' section of your app, or web dashboard, or in the email you were sent when your policy started.
