Important information about By Miles.

We're no longer offering quotes for new customers. If you already have a valid quote from us, you can still retrieve it and buy a policy.

If you’re already a By Miles member, don’t worry – your existing insurance policy is still valid and you’re covered until your policy ends. Until then, you’ll be able to get in touch, manage your policy and use our mobile app or web dashboard as normal.

We will continue to offer new renewal quotes to existing customers until 6th January 2026.

My Miles Tracker blocks the cover over my OBD-II socket. What do I do?

Unfortunately, some car manufacturers don't leave enough room to close the lid on the OBD-II socket.

If that’s the case for you, get in touch and we'll send you an extension cable and velcro strips. The quickest way to reach us is using chat in the app, but you can also email or phone. 

When the cable and strips arrive, please ensure the velcro pad is stuck to the logo-side of the Miles Tracker. This is so you can see and access the IMEI in the case that we need this information.

Just connect one end of the cable to the Miles Tracker, the other end to the OBD-II socket, and close the lid on the cable. You can use the velcro to fix the Miles Tracker somewhere more convenient.

Please ensure that the Miles Tracker is positioned in a safe place where it won't get hit, damaged, or will interfere with your driving.
