Important information about By Miles.

We're no longer offering quotes for new customers. If you already have a valid quote from us, you can still retrieve it and buy a policy.

If you’re already a By Miles member, don’t worry – your existing insurance policy is still valid and you’re covered until your policy ends. Until then, you’ll be able to get in touch, manage your policy and use our mobile app or web dashboard as normal.

We will continue to offer new renewal quotes to existing customers until 6th January 2026.

Is the battery in my electric car covered in the event of an accident?

Generally, damage to an electric car will be covered just the same as petrol or diesel cars. When it comes to batteries, if yours can't be repaired or recovered following an incident, and if you’re responsible for replacing the battery as part of a leasing agreement with the car’s manufacturer, we’ll cover it (as long as the battery isn't insured elsewhere).
