If you sell your old car, and we’re able to cover your new car (and it’s either compatible with our Connect platform or our Miles Tracker), we can change your car during your policy.
Once you sell your car, you need to let us know and change the car on policy within 7 days. If it's more than 7 days, we'll need to close the policy for you.
You can make up to three self-serve changes to your policy each year absolutely free of admin fees through your app or web dashboard. If you make more than three changes, or you contact our Customer Experience team to make a change, you’ll be charged the admin fee shown in your Policy Schedule. You can change your car through your app or web dashboard.
Your premium may also change as a result of any amendments to your policy. If you are happy with any changes to your premium, you can confirm it yourself. If you have any queries about the change before you do, get in touch with our team using the live chat in your app.
Don't forget, if you’re selling your car, to remove the Miles Tracker (if you have one) before the new owner drives away with it. You'll need to install it in the new car on change over day! If you use your car’s connectivity to share your mileage, then you won’t have a Miles Tracker - so you won’t have to worry about returning one. If your new vehicle uses your car’s connectivity to share your mileage then you’ll be asked to return the Miles Tracker to us in the pre-paid jiffy bag we send you.
