Accidents can be stressful, and it's important to remain as calm as possible when this happens.
1. Safety first. Stop in a safe place and put on your hazard lights.
2. Call the police and ambulance service if anyone has been injured
3. Don't admit responsibility - that is for our claims partners to decide.
4. If you are in a position to do so, note down the number plates of any vehicles involved.
5. Get the contact details of the other drivers involved as well as any witnesses.
6. Take photos of each vehicle and any areas that have been damaged.
It's really important to report your claim as soon as you can, ideally within the first 24 hours after the incident.
