Important information about By Miles.

We're no longer offering quotes for new customers. If you already have a valid quote from us, you can still retrieve it and buy a policy.

If you’re already a By Miles member, don’t worry – your existing insurance policy is still valid and you’re covered until your policy ends. Until then, you’ll be able to get in touch, manage your policy and use our mobile app or web dashboard as normal.

We will continue to offer new renewal quotes to existing customers until 6th January 2026.

My car has been stolen. What do I do?

If your car has been stolen:

  • Call the police to report the theft of your vehicle. 
  • Note down the Crime Reference Number.
  • If your policy has a Miles Tracker, you can check the last location recorded on the app and dashboard through the ‘Find My Car’ feature. You should also provide this to the police so they can investigate further, and potentially even recover your car.
  • After you have reported the theft to the police, call our claims line on 0330 088 3838. It’s managed by Auxillis, our independent claims partner, and is open 24/7 - all year round. You need to call as soon as possible and provide as much information as you can, as well as the Crime Reference Number. 
  • We may be able to monitor your car's location and keep the police updated once you have reported the theft.
