If you have a connect policy, you can do this by heading to your app and logging in to your Tesla account.
Just follow the steps on the screen. It only takes a few moments. To help you along the way, here are the steps that will appear:
Step 1: Let’s get going.
Get started with your new By Miles policy.
Step 2: Verify your number.
Please verify your mobile number by entering the 4 digit code we’ve sent you.
Step 3: How do we use your data?
We’ll use your data to get a daily mileometer reading and to track the GPS position of your car (which comes in really handy if it’s lost or stolen). Please read our privacy notice for more information.
Step 4: Connect your car.
Log into your Tesla account via your By Miles app.
Step 5: Log into Tesla account.
Use your Tesla account details to log in. (If you’ve forgotten your details, you’ll need to reset them with Tesla by tapping ‘Forgot password?’ and following the instructions).
Step 6: Log into your Tesla account - continued.
Please enter a passcode from the authenticator app you normally use with your Tesla account. Once you’ve done this, you’ll come back to the By Miles app.
Step 7: Hurray, you’re activated!
You’ve connected your car. Excellent work. Your policy is now active, and we’ll receive daily updates on your mileage. (If you’re still waiting to see this screen, hang tight. It may take a few seconds for the connection to activate.)
Step 8: Set up daily mileage notifications.
Saving feels better when you can see it happening. Tap ‘Turn on Notifications’ if you’d like daily updates on the cost of your journeys. If you don’t want to do this now, tap ‘Not now’ and set up notifications from the ‘Account’ section of your By Miles app later.
